The Sporesight Meditation: Ten Minutes as a Fungus
A ten-minute guided journey that takes you underground...literally, to experiment with how it feels to be a decomposer fungi.
We'll invite you to settle your body, then let your consciousness sink below the surface into the living soil, where a wise and friendly fungal collective invites you to plug into the mycelial network. From there, you become a fungus: probing, connecting, breaking down what's dead and feeding it back into the web of life. When it's time, you gently disentangle and rise back up, carrying a few parting spores of wisdom.
You'll emerge calmer, interconnected, and quietly at peace with decay.
Need to know:
This exercise can be done anywhere you can comfortably sit or lie down without distractions or interruptions. If any other activity requires your attention right now, like driving, commuting, working, or caring for someone else, please come back later, when you can be entirely safe and present.
Don't worry, there is no substance involved other than your own imagination. No previous knowledge is required, and you will be fully back to yourself by the end of this recording.
The only thing we ask is that you suspend disbelief and allow yourself to experience whatever comes to you through your thoughts, emotions, or physical sensations.
Shall we begin?
An invitation to connect with the world of mycelium in the soil, and experiment with how it feels to be a decomposer mushroom.
